Test Results Are Back!!! NEGATIVE!!!

Today at 3pm Dr. O. Sitti called with the newest round of lupus anticoagulate test results. They were NEGATIVE! Dr. O says the folks at Duke told her that if the results were negative two times then the first test was a false positive. She said she and the folks at Duke think the first postive results could have been caused by the antibiotics I was taking a few weeks prior to the test. Thank goodness for Gods grace! We are blessed this day to have both a healthy Mommie and a healthy baby on the way. Now, if we could do something about this nausea and these headaches life would be nearly perfect!

The First Time We Saw You!

Today was our third appointment with the OB. It was heartbeat time only Dr Kelly Rainwater couldn't find your heartbeat. So she made us go have an ultra sound. We saw you. You have little hands, fingers and feet and a head. We saw your little heart beating at 152 beats per minute. You are approximately 6" inches long and by the ultra sound your due date is November 26th, 2006. It appears that you have all of the little parts you are suppose to have. We couldn't' tell if you were a boy or girl yet. They say they will do another ultra sound at 18-20 weeks for that information. You were jumping around in there quite a bit and that is why the doctor couldn't get a good heart beat with out the ultra sound. I have been sick since the end of week 8. I am thinking it is all this jumping you are doing in there....You think you could be still for just a few weeks? I feel awful and keep a head ache all of the time. The doctors say it is okay that I am sick it means you are healthy. That seems absolutely nuts to me but I didn't go to medical school. They did finally agree to give me Zofran so that I can keep some foods down. I am drinking a lot of Dasani water again. It seems to be the only thing that settles my stomach. Oh the newest craving is Boiled Peanuts. I think it is the salt I crave. My weight is steady (haven't gained or lost). Dr. Sitti called Friday and sent me this morning for another series of test for Lupus Anticolagulate. The folks at Duke said since the first test was positive and the second was negative, they wanted her to test me again. I took the blood test today and hopefully, we will know more later this week or the first of next week as to the results. I still think you are a boy. Your dad thinks you are a boy. Mary Catherine thinks you are twins- one boy and one girl. This week, she decided that your names should be Lady and Tramp. I don't see it happening but we'll let her hope!
